EVROPOULI

Evropouli

Evropouli is a lovely traditional village situated approximately 5 km from the city of Corfu. Picturesque streets, old stone houses and a small square with coffee shops give Evropouli a unique ancient aura.

The village’s gem is the Kapodistrias museum which holds personal items and furniture belonging to the first governor of Greece. It is housed in one of the cottages owned by his family still. But that’s not all Evropoli has to offer on historical sights that are still full of life today: An old oil press, built in 1777, today hosts a spiritual center which accommodates numerous cultural activities. And the main church of the village is Pantokratoras is said to be built in the same spot where a smaller temple existed already in 1745.

Evropouli will make you feel “home in Greece”. Sometimes you will only hear the swallows swirling back and forth your home, other times your neighbors will have one of those typical lively greek chats about cooking, family, God and the world.

Frequent local bus connection to and from Corfu town up to 11 times a day. By car, Evropouli is about 15 minutes drive from both Corfu town and airport.
